It's Been So Long

Halo halo! Well, its been really long since I have left a post here that I think nobody reads my boring blog anymore. Haha....I do not really mind actually. At least I can write anything I want without caring much.

Well, things didn't change much actually for these past few months. Life is still the same old routine. Get up early for work. Eat breakfast. Rush to catch the people-packed MRT. Stand among the working people and smelling their arm pits. Rushing out like horses in a race. Rushing up the escalator. Rushing to my office.

Rush. Rush. Rush. Working in Shenton Way is just about rushing. And everybody seems to be rushing as well. I think it is really getting worse especially Singapore is getting more and more urbanised with the IR coming up. Geez....Marina area is really too over-crowded.

And plus, the standard of living is also getting higher and higher. 7% GST, Petrol prices up, blah blah blah.

Okok...minus all these complaints. I shall try to look at the more positive side of life. Tomorrow will be a better day! :)

Overcoming my fears

Next it is my turn to go up to the 3-storey high pole and cross the log without any support. Hmmm....

I shouted," Am I on belay?". "Yes!", shouted my teammates. Then I shouted again,"I choose to climb!" My teammates shouted back,"Climb on!". Off I go, climbing the ladder to take my first step on the pole.

So step by step I went up till I reached the horizontal log. Trying to stop my leg from trembling is really a very difficult task. Despite psychoing myself that "I can do it" several times, my legs just get stuck on the log and hindering me from taking my first step on the log.

Aiyah! What the fiak! Just go la....I tell myself. So managed to move my left feet to the front of my right feet. I then slowly move on and on and on........Half the log already, my feet is still trembling, plus the wind that just blows across. Wow! What a task manz!

Finally! one last step! Got it! Wow, it really seems like a life time manz. Okie, it does not end here. The next challenge: Trying to take 2 steps down before you fly down and touch the ground.

Seems like a lifetime again. Finally and finally! I can get to fly down. Of course, with the support from my teammates. "Team! Can I trust you?" They shouted back, "Yes!" With that, I let go and fly down.

Today I have overcome my fears....temporarily. :P

Failure

Saw something in Reader's Digest really worth jotting it down in my blog...

" Too many people fear failure. Some of us let it keep us from trying new things, telling ourselves we'd be no good at it. Some limit our goals to only what we feel absolutely sure we can accomplish. Others among us try something once, and when it doesn't work out, we decide that course is not for us."
"...failure is a good thing. If everything you try is very succesful, it means you're playing it safe; you are not out on the edge. Failure means that you're learning."
I think it happens a lot to us. Well, it is true for me. Sometimes we are just afraid of trying new things, thinking that it will not work out or what-if-it-fails. I hope this quote inspiration will bring hope to others who likes to dream and be special but not make it to reality cos they are hindered by the fear of this simple but strong word: FAILURE....
I am one of them...

It has really been a long time that I have written something in this blog. Just don't feel like writing here, perhaps.

Anyway, what inspires me to write now is that I felt that I have learnt a lot these past week and feeel like writing about it.

Lately, I attended some training courses by the company: Talent Management and Coaching With EQ.

Well, Talent Management is definitely not about how to manage singing talents. It is about how to handle different kinds of people especially in your workplace. Well, I must say, it's been really a long time since I have enjoyed a course fully.

The trainer is interesting and able to connect with everyone of us. I think that is a very important thing. Connection.

Okie. My brain is taking rest now. Just don't feel like writing now.

Dream Dream Dream

Do you dream? How often? And do you know why you dream? Have your dreams ever affected your lives?

Some researchers say that dreams are a way for the subconscious to communicate with the conscious mind. Or dreams may also turn your life around. For eg, you may dream of your friend whom you have not contacted for very long. Or maybe it gives you winning 4D numbers too...:)

Yes, again, I have gathered all these info from Reader's Digest. And this article really caught my interest. It is really intriguing to know that dreams can really make wonders. Some people are also learning some techniques to control their dreams, guiding their dreams while they are sleeping. This is called lucid dreaming: a sleeping person realises he or she is dreaming while it is happening.

But I interpret this as dangerous as sometimes you may feel so much at ease when in your dream, that you just do not feel like waking up anymore. Probably that explains why some people prefers to be in a coma.

Do you like to dream?

It just died...

It just died. Yesterday. My phone.

It all started when I was taking some pictures and there ...it got stuck. The screen just went blank and there it was ...blinking...blinking...blinking...just like it is finding very hard to breathe.

I then tried the usual resuscitation method....getting the battery out and put back again. Doesnt work like before.

Went to M1 shop and the guy told me that I still need 4 months to buy a new phone at the price of a new line, otherwise I have to top up another 100 bux. I am in a dilemma. 4 months seems very long to wait if your phone died.

Hope I can revive it soon.

It is a rainy day. Nice to sleep.
