Jason MrA-Z

I was thinking when will Jason Mraz ever come to Singapore.......and he did last night.

He performed a sold-out concert at Esplanade Concert Hall. The whole performance is full of acoustic feel and plus his stand-up comedy talent....it is just heavenly..well..at least he charmeed me and of course, dozens of girls there.

Together with his percussionist (didn't catch his name), the duo, with their chemistry, just simply entertained the crowd with their jokes and music. Jason did his signature la-la-bla-la-bab-bi-bab-bla-bla singing and demonstrated his versatility in music, changing lyrics impromptu.

All the girly screams and funny shout-outs add on to the atmosphere of the concert too. After the concert ends, I can already hear praises and good comments from all sides.

As for me, the thought and hope of him coming to Singapore again, has been lingering since then.

(Gee, I felt so old there)

A Great 150306

I have heard about Pat Methany Group only just recently when I went came across one of their jazz songs in my partner-in-crime's music collection.

15th March 2006 was the day that Pat Methany Trio came down to Singapore .... finally. I should say this is one of the best concerts that I have been. It is definitely a fantastic evening for jazz lovers like myself.

Pat Methany came out on stage, wearing a alcatraz-like top with black jeans. On the drums is Antonio Sanchez and on bass is Christian McBride. The trio just rocks! You can even sense their chemistry.

The concert started off with Pat playing 2 slow songs. Each song with a different guitar. His music really tingles you and it just flows through your veins. It is really a special feeling. There was this song which his customised guitar brought a oriental feel to it. Extraordinary!

Antonio and Christian then joined Pat with a series of some fast acid jazz songs. The drum beats are unique too, making use of the drum sticks to do different sounds from the symbals. I am very lucky to sit on the 2nd row from the stage. And this is the 1st time for me to have such front seats and able to see the artiste upfront.

(o, just that the guy beside me smelled of urine)

What happen these past 3 days

Gone for EeeeFFffeecccTtttiivVVvveee BiiZzzzzzz WrrRRrriiiItttTtinggg course...:)

It is practically like going back to my good old school days where you learn English all over again. There is this auntie trainer (or should I say 'cher') who teaches us effective biz writing. And she has this assistant or friend called Mary who co-teaches as well. There are simple present tense la, there are simple present continuous tense la, there are past perfect continuous la...etc. Gosh, so many types of tenses!! Then you cannot write this, cannot write that way.

Well, what should I say. The course is effective, but then again it is not. The 3-day course was quite boring although there are times whereby it is quite interesting. Ok, I know I am contradicting myself. O ya, there is homework.

Anyway, it is over.

Did I learn anything? Will I improve in my daily email writing?

Time will tell. . . . I guess.

A sudden gush of anger just drives me to Blogger immediately. The urge to let people know. Just by looking at the picture triggers some sadness in me. I do not usually display pics here cos I hate the hassle. Today is an exception.

Look carefully.

Because 2 brainless (I)o used the poor puppy as a football! Goosh!
